I just got word that Flogging Molly will not be able to make the Dec. 6 "Not So Silent Night" show with Rise Against in Broomfield at the the 1stBank Center. The wife of drummer George Schwindt will need to deliver their baby prematurely, due to unforeseen circumstances. Because of this, Flogging Molly has cancelled upcoming shows in the US, as the drummer goes to be with his family. Sending good vibes their way, that everything goes smoothly and baby and mom are going to be okay. Flogging Molly plans to reschedule their performance in Denver at the Ogden Theater on March 14, on the Green 17 tour. Tickets will go on sale for this concert at 10am here on Friday December 9 (if you are a Channel 93.3 member). If you don't know about it, being a Channel 93.3. member is free, you just have to sign up here. There aren't a whole lot of details about the March 14th show yet, but I will be sure to post as soon as I find anything out. If you are interested, the official press release about all this from Flogging Molly is located here, courtesy of Channel 93.3. On a lighter note, tickets for the Reverend Horton Heat's latest Denver show are currently on sale here at the very discounted price of $9.33. The show is at the Ogden Theater on January 28 (my birthday, woohoo!). At some point the "early bird ticket price" will go away and become $20 / $25 DOS, but I don't actually know when that happens....so just buy them now. Also, Cash'd Out (The Ultimate Johnny Cash Tribute band) is going to be playing a show at the Bluebird Theater on Saturday, Feb 4. Tickets are normally $15 ($18 DOS), but if you buy them here starting tomorrow they are only $10! Again, not sure when this "early bird ticket price" ends. |
