Yes, you read that correct.  I know, right. I've only been waiting like 10 years to see them live, and then they come to the Larimer Lounge and just a few weeks later are playing a free show in Cheyenne, WY!?  You'd be crazy to miss this.  Because this isn't just a free Real McKenzies show. It is a whole weekend celebration of Celtic culture!

It is the 7th Annual Cheyenne Celtic Festival, and its going on Friday June 22 - Sunday June 24 at Depot Square in Cheyenne, Wyoming.  The Real McKenzies take the stage at 6:30 pm on Saturday, but there are tons more bands playing all day, as well as other general awesome stuff.   Other performers are Potcheen and Delilah's Revenge, who I had the privilege of hearing for the first time at the Denver People's Fair a few weekends ago.

Proceeds from things purchased at the festival will benefit the Cheyenne Depot Museum which is a 501(c)3 non-profit that hosts free community events during the summer on Depot Plaza.
