We're Back!

posted Jul 18, 2011, 10:36 AM by Kio Krofovitch went on a little hiatus.  We were traveling for a few weeks and of course didn't have very good internet access the whole time, so sorry about that.  While we were gone we did manage to see Marky Ramone's Blitzkrieg perform in London, though, which was really great.

I feel like the band had quite a unique challenge...  They are a quasi-cover-band with an original member of the band they are covering....but still a new and distinct band with their own songs as well.  How do you find a balance between just parroting what the Ramone's did, and breaking too far away from the Ramone's so that it doesn't even sound like their songs anymore?  It seems like a really tough spot to be in, but we thought that they somehow were able to locate the sweet spot on the spectrum.  It was a really great show, with lots of great people.

I've uploaded a few new shows today, and I can see that there are lots more for me to post. I am going to try and get them up within the next few days for you!
